Self-Guided Invermere to Radium Paddle
Flat-water paddle; beginner and family friendly
Return transportation included (own boat pick up option available)
Paddle from the Invermere Launch, through the wetlands and down the river to Radium
Spend a leisurely morning or afternoon on the Lazy Columbia River, taking in the spectacular scenery and enjoying lunch or snacks on a sandbar or the shoreline along the way (water level dependent)
The Columbia River Wetlands provide habitat for more than 250 species of birds: eagles, osprey and herons are commonly sighted throughout the year, as well as various species of wildlife
Book by pick-up time (at the end of your paddle) and check in at the Invermere Launch approximately 4 hours before - an email with updated paddling times & suggested check in times sent 24 hours before your booking

Note: If you are booking an 'own boat pick up', the pick up is subject to minimum numbers; we will contact you if your trip needs to be rescheduled.
Bringing your own boat? Please follow the Invasive Species Council of BC's Clean, Drain, Dry guidelines and help to reduce the spread of harmful aquatic invasive species.
We DO NOT recommend inflatable tubes for own boat pick ups (kayaks, SUPs etc only)
Canoes are designed for 2 adults but may be booked for 2 adults and one child (under 10 yr old) or 2 adults and 2 small children (both under 5 yr old).
Booked the 1pm pick up? Arrive around 9am
Booked the 3pm pick up? Arrive around 10:30am to 11am
Booked the 4pm pick up? Arrive around 11:30am to 12:30 pm
Booked the 5pm pick up? Arrive around 12:30pm - 1pm
* these arrival times are water level and paddling experience dependent, feel free to reach out to chat about current water levels, an email is sent to all bookings 24 hours before the booked time with updated check-in times based on the up to date water level and paddling duration
Dry bags are available to borrow (deposit required) or purchase to keep your valuables dry
Your well-behaved, leashed dog may join you in our canoes and on the Invermere to Radium trip and return shuttle
Our cancellation deadlines are applied to enable us to schedule guides, staff and equipment.
Subject to availability, changing the date and/or time of your booking does not incur any fees.
SELF-GUIDED INVERMERE TO RADIUM TRIPS have a 48 hour cancellation policy. To receive a refund, less a $5 cancellation fee, email paddle@ColumbiaRiverPaddle.com a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of your booking. No refunds or reschedules for no shows. Bookings within 48 hours are final payments.
We reserve the right to cancel any program with less than 24 hours notice due to changing weather conditions such as strong winds or thunderstorms. Please check your email for cancellation notices before leaving for your program. In this case, we will try to re-schedule to another date or offer a full refund. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but your safety and well-being on the water is our top priority.
Please be aware that we reserve the right to refuse service in the following circumstances with no refund:
- Participants are found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Inappropriate behavior/language to staff or other guests
